The first Globe Theater had a trap door for performing plays. The celling was painted to look like the sky, and people would refer it to the "heavens". Dramatic plays were performed there like Romeo and Juliet first performed there and many other popular plays written by Shakespeare. The Globe Theater was where Shakespeare first had his plays performed and was the building block of his career.
